The first requirement is a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes) in Standard XII (10+2) from any recognized board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects plus one additional subject which should be either Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology or a Technical Vocational subject (combined together).
For those seeking B.Tech lateral entry to the second year in any appropriate branch of Engineering/ Technology, a diploma certificate from an AICTE approved Institution will be required with 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes).
In the case of foreign students, anyone who has an equivalent qualification from any Foreign Board/ University will be eligible. However, an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) will be needed in this case.
