Following eligibility rules will be followed for according equivalence to 10+2 school level certificate of International Baccalaureate / Cambridge board student:

a] International Baccalaureate(IB) Board

• The candidate must have been awarded the IB Diploma or the IB Diploma Course (i.e. IB Certificate) as a qualification for entry to the professional course at the institute and is required to have passed the subjects of Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry at Higher Level (HL), with a minimum score of 24 credits. Students awarded the IB Diploma should also have completed other mandatory requirements (like CAS, TOK, and the EE) towards the award of the IB Diploma.

• Good scores in any one of the following entrance exams: JEE (Main) or any State Government Engineering Entrance Examination or 12th PMC/V

b] GCE/IGCSE/GCSE Examinations

• A candidate intending to join a professional course at the institute must have passed the examination of approved British Examination Bodies equivalent to Grade 12, with a minimum of 5 subjects including English. The candidate must have passed subjects of Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry in Advanced Level (“A” Level) and English at a minimum of Ordinary Level (“O” Level).

• The conversions of IB and GCE/IGCSE/GCSE Examination grades to the scores that are used are as suggested on the AIU (Association of Indian Universities) web portal. Only candidates who have the requisite qualification from Boards of Higher Education accredited and recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Govt. of India, New Delhi are eligible to apply at Symbiosis institutes for admission.

SITEEE - Entrance Exam Overview

1) SITEEE 2025 - Eligibility criteria

The first requirement is a minimum of 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes) in Standard XII (10+2) from any recognized board with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects plus one additional subject which should be either Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology or a Technical Vocational subject (combined together).

For those seeking B.Tech lateral entry to the second year in any appropriate branch of Engineering/ Technology, a diploma certificate from an AICTE approved Institution will be required with 45% marks (40% in case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes).

In the case of foreign students, anyone who has an equivalent qualification from any Foreign Board/ University will be eligible. However, an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) will be needed in this case.

As discussed, any aspirant (including a foreign student) will need to clear SITEEE 2024. The exam pattern is mentioned below. A point to note here is that the institute also accepts the scores of JEE Mains/ any state government engineering entrance examination conducted at the national level.

3) SITEEE 2025 - Exam Centres

SITEEE 2025 will be conducted in an entirely Computer-based test (CBT) mode. The tests will be conducted across 80 cities all over India and you can give up to a maximum of three choices of the test cities from the following list:

i) Once you have completed your payment for SITEEE 2025 entrance exams for engineering after 12th, no change of Test City will be possible. So ensure that you finalize your choice before making the payment.

ii) Test city allocation is based on the date of payment for SITEEE. This means the earlier you make your payment, the greater your chances of securing a Test City of your choice.

v) In the case of the non-availability of your chosen test city, due to any reason, the Symbiosis Test Secretariat has the right to change or allot a city different from the one you chose.
