SET/ SITEEE 2025 - Eligibility & Admission Criteria for Defence Personnel Children
Children / Wards of Defence personnel means children/ wards of those Defence Personnel who are serving / retired Defence personnel from Army, Navy, Air Force. Retired Defence personnel are those who fall in the category of ex-servicemen as laid down in Ministry of Defence letter no. 36035/5/85- Est (SCT) dated 14 April 1987. It also includes children of Defence personnel, who died while in service or after retirement
The University provides 5 % reservation within the sanctioned intake for Children/ Wards of Defence Personnel in Constituents as listed below:-
- Bachelor of Computer Applications - Honours / Honours with Research programme conducted by Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies & Research (SICSR), Pune
- Bachelor of Business Administration (Information Technology) - Honours / Honours with Research programme conducted by Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies & Research (SICSR), Pune
Note: A candidate who is interested to apply under the category “Children/ Wards of Defence Personnel” for any of the abovementioned programmes, should select the category “Children/ Wards of Defence Personnel” for each programme separately.

The term Defence Personnel would mean only those serving / retired Defence personnel from Army, Navy, Air Force. It includes defence personnel who died while in service or after retirement.
Note:
- Candidates applying for any of the above-mentioned categories will be required to upload their relevant supporting documents at the time of registration and the same will be verified at the time of PI.
- Candidates applying under the category “Children/wards of Defence Personnel” in SICSR will be considered as candidates in OPEN Category for other institutes for which they have applied.
