Passed 10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of Chemistry, Computer Science, Electronics, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational subject, Agriculture, Engineering Graphics, Business Studies, or Entrepreneurship. Obtained at least 45% marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to reserved category) in the above subjects taken together.
OR
Passed D.Voc. Stream in the same or allied sector. (The University will offer suitable bridge courses such as Mathematics, Physics, Engineering Drawing, etc., for students from diverse backgrounds to ensure a level playing field and desired learning outcomes of the program.)

Eligibility rules for equivalence to 10+2 certificates from International Baccalaureate or Cambridge Board students:
- a) International Baccalaureate (IB) Board:
- The candidate must have an IB Diploma or IB Certificate as a qualification for entry to the course, with Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry at Higher Level (HL) and a minimum score of 24 credits. Completion of CAS, TOK, and EE requirements is mandatory.
- Good scores in any one of the following exams: JEE (Main), State Government Engineering Entrance Exams, or 12th PMC/V.

- b) GCE/IGCSE/GCSE Examinations:
- Candidates must pass approved British Examination Bodies equivalent to Grade 12 with a minimum of 5 subjects, including English. Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry must be completed at Advanced Level ("A" Level), and English at Ordinary Level ("O" Level).
