HOSTEL FACILITIES:

SICSR has hostel facilities for girls and boys provided by Symbiosis Society. We also provide a database of Paying Guest accommodation to students in the surrounding area if needed.

LIBRARY:

The main objective is to provide innovative, responsive and effective services, which will meet the changing needs of the academic community. Our library provides a range of books, periodicals, E-resources and other media at appropriate levels to meet the academic needs of the students. We have access to the world’s best electronic reference databases like EBSCO, DELNET.

LAB:

SICSR has truly world class, state of the art Computer Labs which includes powerful servers, dedicated Internet and email access, desktop PCs and laser / all in one laser printers etc. All computers are connected to a 10/100/1000 Mbps network, which in turn is connected to Gigabit Ethernet. For the Internet, there is 24 x 7 connectivity through 2 leased lines with 4 Mbps and 2 Mbps each. The labs are equipped with Hardware Firewall and content filtering tools with latest Antivirus Gateway level Scanning.

CANTEEN:

Our canteen is not only a place to fill appetite but also a venue for a mélange of ideas and views to converge and give rise to innovative ventures. It has a mess, which offers vegetarian delicacies, & caters to diverse palates. Delicious food is prepared with strict standards of hygiene.

TEACHING AIDS AND PEDAGOGY:

SICSR’s approach to teaching includes a combination of lectures, class discussion, group work self-study, and has developed e-learning portal using Moodle, for blended learning evaluation and continuous evaluation of students. SICSR uses blended learning techniques and KirkPatrick techniques.

HEALTH AND MEDICAL CARE AND GYM:

The Symbiosis Center of Health Care (SCHC) provides an in-house, modern, state of art health club & fitness center with a view to facilitate a holistic development of mind & body for an all round development of our students. Each student is insured under the Mediclaim & Road Traffic Accident Policy.

SIU announces the four-year degree programme with multiple entry and exit options as envisioned in the NEP 2020. The highlights of the new programme offerings are as under

• The Programme framework allows exciting options to pursue single major, double majors, minors, opportunity to pursue multidisciplinary, Ability and Skill enhancement courses
• Offers a good blend of immersive learning, research and community engagement
• Includes opportunities for semester exchange programmes with foreign universities
• Offers the following exit options
  1. A Certificate at the end of the first year of the programme with 44 credits
  2. A Dililoma at the end of the first two years of the programme with 84 credits
  3. A UG Degree at the end of 3 years of the programme with 120 credits
  4. A UG Degree with Honours / Research at the end of the 4 years of the programme with 160 credits

• Offers option of Re-entry within 3 years of exit and 7 years as the maximum permissible period to complete the programme.

BBA (IT) is a perfect blend of Commerce, Management and IT subjects heading for smart careers in Business Administration with IT flavor. The programme focuses on imparting IT and related methodologies for understanding and applying IT for business analysis.

• This program provides the ability to analyze, design and code the software systems.

• An ability to understand the concepts of logic development, best software practices used in industry.

• An ability to understand and apply knowledge of content management system, mobile computing, computer game designing and cloud in the field of software development

BCA offers the prequalification for professionals heading for a smart career in the IT field, which measures up to international standards. On completing this course one can do higher studies such as MCA, MBA etc., in any UGC recognized universities or in any other reputed institution in India or abroad.

BCA (Honours) with specialization will prepare students to progress their career in the software industry, academia, research, entrepreneurial pursuit and other Information technology enabled services in one of the areas in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, and Data security.

Passed Standard XII (10+2) or equivalent examination from any recognised Board with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes)

Bachelor of Computer Applications (B.C.A)

Passed Standard XII (10+2) or equivalent government approved Diploma in Engineering/ Technology from any recognised Board with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribes).
