Founded in 2008, Symbiosis School of Economics (SSE) is a dynamic
institution, with a demonstrable record of success, offering both
undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Economics. The curriculum
is designed
and upgraded periodically to enhance the employability of our graduates
in sectors such as public and private enterprises, banking and financial
services, government, consulting, academia and NGOs. This
niche Institute seeks to develop intellectual discipline, critical and
analytical assessment, resulting in rational thinking. It also nurtures
an understanding of the need for constrained optimization and
a strong urge to strive towards achieving equilibrium. The SSE tries to
achieve these goals in an educational environment committed to
excellence and academic freedom. The environment here is disciplined
and demanding, at the same time giving plenty of scope for creativity,
originality and student initiatives. Unique aspects of the institute are
the centers it runs for students. The Centre for Academic Writing
offers numerous facilities to students for academic writing whereas the
Centre for Quantitative Learning and Applications supports researchers
at advanced level.
Promoting international understanding through
