HOSTEL:

Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad is a fully residential campus. There are separate hostels for Boys and Girls with security personnel and e-surveillance. Every hostel room is Wi-Fi enabled, in addition to broadband facility, en-suit bathroom, study table, wardrobe and shoe rack. The rooms especially designed to provide conducive learning environment and comfortable living. Every Hostel building encompasses drinking water facility, common refrigerator, Microwave Oven, Laundry facilities, etc. It has common recreational hall with Television and play area for in-house games.

LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER:

Knowing the importance of library in any institution's teaching-learning process, SLS, Hyderabad has a well-equipped library with a vast array of Books, Bare Acts, Journals, Magazine’s, Reports, AIR, Supreme Court Case Reporter, Research Compilations, News Paper Cuttings etc. In addition, it facilitates technological based learning environment by providing access to Lexis-Nexis, Manupatra, West-law, Scopus, Web of Science, EBSCO Discovery, SCC Online and other online databases. The library has earmarked a ‘Research and Innovation’ section for faculty and students to read, research, and publish articles and research projects. It has a separate section for book lending and book bank facility.

MOOT COURT HALL:

Moot court is one of the most important simulation activities of student’s life cycle. It nurture their research, analytical, drafting, argumentative skills and helps them to have experiential learning. SLS, Hyderabad has a grand Moot Court Hall by replicating the real Court Room Class Room set up with a seating capacity of 240 to host national and International moot court competitions.

THE ICT LEARNING RESOURCE CENTER:

SLS, Hyderabad has in place an ICT Learning Resource Center for e-research, database access, Lectures, assignments, online exams etc. The ICT lab is of 155 seating capacity and it has the following facilities/amenities:

• Computers, Printers, Scanners & Projectors
• 100 mbps Internet speed with Wi-Fi in classrooms and entire campus
• Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad campus is Wi-Fi enabled.

It also has an Assembly hall and a multipurpose hall to house guest lectures of legal stalwarts and functions of the similar kind. The Multipurpose Hall has a seating capacity for 300 students to house small functions. The Assembly Hall has a seating capacity of 240 students for academic and non-academic gatherings.

CANTEEN:

SLS, Hyderabad campus has a canteen to cater to the requirements of 1500 students at a time. It offers multi cuisine dishes at a concessional rate. The canteen is equipped with modern amenities to ensure hygiene and balanced diet of the students.

HEALTH AND OTHER RECREATIONAL FACILITIES:

SLS, Hyderabad has well equipped Health Center with a residential doctor and a paramedic available all the time. It has an ambulance to cater to emergency and odd hour medical needs of students and staff members. Every student is covered under insurance policy. It has Recreation and Wellness Center which includes a modern gymnasium with equipment of International standards, aerobics room and Yoga Center. Student’s physical growth is monitored by a trainer and dietician. In addition, it has extracurricular activity center facilitating indoor games like Table Tennis, Chess, Carom Board, Fuss ball, etc. and outdoor games like Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Cricket, etc.

METHOD OF INSTRUCTION:

The medium of instruction is English. The methods are essentially learner-centric, which include lectures, Socratic method, Activity Based Learning, field visits, seminars, group discussions, research projects, simulations, case studies, moots, mock trials and ICT-enabled learning by the international guest faculty and guest sessions by the stalwarts.

CAREER PROSPECTS

After initial assessment through elaborate psychometric tests, assessment and screening process; the students get training, orientation and experiential learning through systematic internships in industry, High Courts, Supreme Court and Non-governmental organizations.

The student can look forward to a meaningful and rewarding career with various options such as Judiciary, Corporate practice, Litigation, Academics, Legal Process Outsourcing, Administrative services, Banks, Legal Departments of Companies in capacities. SLS, Hyderabad was successful in providing 100% internship to the batch of 2014-19, 2015-20, 2016-21 & 2017-22.

ELIGIBILITY FOR BA. LL.B & BBA. LL.B

Standard XII (10+2) passed from any recognized board with minimum 45% marks or equivalent grade (40% marks or equivalent grade for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes).

INTAKE

The total intake is 240 seats [Inclusive of 120 seats of BBA. LL.B and 120 seats of BA. LL.B]

Separate Merit Lists for BBA. LL.B and BA. LL.B programmes will be prepared and published. At the time of SLAT registration, it shall be mandatory for the candidates to clearly indicate the programme to which they wish to apply.

Note:It is suggested that those candidates who have studied arts/social sciences subjects for their qualifying examination may apply for BA. LL.B programme. Similarly, those candidates who have studied commerce/accounts/mathematics may apply for BBA. LL.B programme. The candidates are free to make their own choice depending on their ability, interest & opportunity. Please note that these two programmes differ only in First Degree subject (either Humanities OR Business Law) whereas the same Law courses are offered to both the programmes. Graduates in both streams are eligible for diverse legal career & opportunities including Corporate, Lawyering, Civil Services, Advocacy, Judiciary, Academic, International Organization Jobs, and International Admissions etc.
